This is a lovely site in the heart of the Chatsworth Estate parkland. A fifteen minute walk takes you to the house, with its excellent cafe and shop, or to the Village of Baslow with excellent views along the way. The 'must visit' estate village of Edensor is also close by. The site is well laid out, feeling spacious yet private, and the facilities are excellent. The pitches are good, though those in the shade are, understandably, a little damp, mossy and twig covered. Having said that, we were there in March, so this will be less of an issue as the season progresses. The wardens were great: really friendly and helpful. All in all, a fabulous site - highly recommended!
