Busy site so whilst there are large pitches, there is a sense of 'closeness' compared to other sites. There is a large flock of crows roosting on site which gives you a nice early wake up call! Fish and chip van on site on certain nights. The warden greeted us on arrival and was helpful. Good site but clearly popular. Very handy for Chatsworth house and driving into Bakewell.
Very Pleasant Stay
We stayed for 3nths, mid-March and apart from a bit of rain, it was very nice.
CAMC Chatsworth is a very nice site, located between the River Derwent and the grounds of Chatsworth House. You get upon check-in a key which gives you direct access via a lockable gate, access to the grounds itself, taking you straight out on to a path which runs from the nearby village of Baslow, to the house itself. Both are a very easy and flat walk.
The only real downside to the site is what the CAMC charge to stay there. They are milking the fact that this is Chatsworth House and are over charging. Other club and non-club sites which have a similar level of facilities cost less, and are in equally as nice locations. The site is also a bit cramp compared to others.
Top tip: The site doesn't let you in until 1pm and they shut off part of the road. If you want a good pitch, get there just before 1pm and wait. We noticed a stampede of caravans and motorhomes just after 1pm all touring the site looking for the best available pitches.
PERFECT LOCATION
Chatsworth Park is a pleasure to stay at whether you just enjoy walks around the parkland or travel around this part of Derbyshire. The wardens were welcoming and helpful and the selection of bakery items for sale at reception was very useful. The estate farm shop and cafe were excellent quality. We enjoyed visiting Buxton Pavillion gardens and David Mellor cutlery and country store in Hathersage which was a delight.
Chatsworth - incredible location for the ‘House'
Great site, plenty of spacious pitches, clean facilities, great showers (no push button). Ducks wandering site and then with your own key, enter the grounds of Chatsworth House and wander the grounds and shops at no cost.
Staff efficient and friendly, all the facilities you need. Would definitely return if I was ever in the area again.
Great first stay
First time visiting site, arrival and check in was smooth, pitch, (fully serviced),was great. We walked to chatsworth house and caught the bus to Bakewell which was a real bonus, the bus also went past the Monsal trail if you fancy a nice walk. Facilities as you would expect on a club site, wardens were polite and helpful. It was a great spot for a February break, will certainly visit again, perhaps in the warmer months

Stuart, the Warden
We chose Chatsworth for our first trip out with our new Motorhome as it is one of our favourite sites and one we have visited many times before with our previous caravans. Straight away we encountered a technical issue with the pump that we were struggling to resolve. We went to the office to explain that we may have to leave and go back to the dealer with it. The warden said she would ask Stuart to come and see if he could help. He is clearly a man of great knowledge around caravans and motorhomes and helped us resolve the matter. He spent a lot of time with us and was determined that we would be having our break away. What a great guy, thanks again Stuart.

Short but definitely sweet!
Our favourite site and one we have been to several times before. Being circa 4 hours away usually we book for 2 weeks but this time was just a 4 nighter to facilitate a visit to Christmas at Chatsworth garden trail which didn’t disappoint. Being owners of a lively springer spaniel and walkers by disposition, the site is perfect. Arrive, set up and then no need to start up an engine again. Well unless you want to stock up with some goodies to take back with you from the farm shop! The only downside, we had to leave so soon. We’ll be back before too long I’m sure…..
Fabulous first motorhome trip
What a fabulous site in the most stunning location.
This was our first ever trip in a rental motorhome for a trial run and we couldn't have picked a better site. The location is just perfect with the access to the house and walks galore. We took our dog too and the dog walking area was a helpful extra, and the facilities immaculate. The managers, Phil and Ruth were so kind offering us endless help and advice, we couldn't have asked for more. A really positive place to stay. 5 stars.
Love this site
What is not to love, the surroundings are stunning. The minute you open the gate to the park, there are so many lovely walks, we are so lucky to be able to walk in this beautiful estate. The site itself is up to the clubs high standard, only good things can be said about it! We will return, we try and go at least once a year.
