Absolutely fantastic site. Lovely and helpful staff team; super facilities; quiet and peaceful ; great walks and bus service on the door step; super options for eating in the village. This was my second visit and I will be returning.
Return visit
Back again, after only two weeks we returned and stayed on a serviced pitch again makes life so much easier.
Yet again met by really helpful staff, once set up we just relaxed before our walk into filey on the Cleveland way the following day.
Sunday unfortunately we had to return home, but while there we decided to book a week back end of August due to it being a great base for the area can't wait.
Thanks again to the hard working staff for keeping a large site pristine 👍
Great Weekend with the grandsons
We arrived Friday teatime with our two grandsons.the gentleman who booked us in was very helpful, giving us advice on the pitches which were free,he also told us about the work on the new housing in the next field. Our grandsons loved this site ,the football and basketball pitch was amazing as was the games room and the park. The showeroom was beautiful and spotless ,the whole site is well looked after. We will be returning
RELAX AND ENJOY
Had an enjoyable short break at the recently remodelled Cayton Village Club Campsite and really appreciated the open space and relaxing atmosphere. The location will only improve as the newly planted trees and shrubbery mature, helped along by the TLC provided by our hosts.
We were booked to stay for four nights on a Standard pitch with awning (White peg),but on arrival I spotted a vacant Premium serviced pitch (Black No 94), which I knew would take the sun until late in the evening.
A word with the personable receptionist, who had just booked us in, and the deal was done, although we could only stay there for two nights because that pitch had already been booked in advance.
We moved our caravan, as arranged, two days later, and lit on the nearest vacant pitch, which was No 81 - a blue peg (we were originally on a white peg). No matter, none of this was too much trouble for the staff. From arrival to departure our hosts were friendly, helpful, and efficient.
The campsite itself has two safe play areas for children and a pleasant path around the site for dog walking. The facilities are spotlessly clean and two blocks mean at least one is in use while the other is closed for cleaning.
Mobile food vans arrive on selected evenings to take the pressure off cooking. We took advantage of a pizza on arrival Thursday evening. If you want to visit off site without your own transport the village is a short walk away and there is a bus stop immediately outside the Campsite entrance.
The effort put into improving the Campsite has really paid dividends and we will certainly return again soon.
What a Gem
We stayed here for 7 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer! We were greeted with friendly smiles and helpful advice from the wardens, we booked a premium pitch and chose the lower section of the park which was well worth the extra money, lovely and quiet & well away from the building site noise (beyond CMC control) which affects one corner of the site, the wardens warned of this on arrival.
Overall the park was spotlessly clean and well kept which is full credit to the staff who work tirelessly to keep it this way.
Really impressed with all the facilities, all brand new and built to a very high standard .
Perfectly placed for visiting Scarborough, Filey & Whitby.
The dog walk around the site was perfect, fenced off and secure for off lead walking, bins at both gates & mulch laid underfoot.
We'll definitely visit again, thanks CMC spot on.
Perfectly placed
We stayed here for 2 nights and could have stayed for longer! We were greeted with friendly smiles and helpful advice from the wardens and chose the top part of the park, which was lovely and quiet. Overall the park spotlessly clean and well kept. Really impressed with all the facilities. The dog walk around the site was perfect, fenced off and secure for off lead walking. A bus stop outside the park was a bonus, although we did not use it on this visit, we are likely to do so another time. The site is within walking distance from the village, and The Farrier looked a lovely place to eat, but we were not organised enough to book in advance, again perhaps next time. We visited the beach and the lovely little cafe shack for icecream and a cuppa. We could thoroughly recommend this site and will be returning!
Lovely Site, Very Modern Too
We travelled down from Scotland and took a chance on a site we have never been to before.
The staff who greeted us were very helpful and even told us the pitched for maximum sunshine.
The park is very modern but well established. The location is perfect for day trips to Scarbrough and Filey, with a bus at the entrance to the site.
We had a few chats with the wardens who were lovely and full of useful information.
These guys never stop working to maintain the high standards of this beautiful park.
The most important thing for us when we get to any park is to check out the toilets and showers, they are 5 star at Cayton.
We will definitely be making this trip back there this year
The Moore's
Happy Campers!
This was our first visit here - check in was smooth and greated by a friendly warden who explained the layout. We decided on a pitch on the top site as the bottom site was very busy. We have a continental motorhome with the hab door on the drivers side,so we were asked to drive into the pitch so the door was facing the same way as all other vans etc- not a problem to us.The site is beautifully tidy and the grass is short and neat, a little lacking in character as there's not much in the way of shrubbery, hedges or flowers etc.
As others have commented there is a fair bit of noise from the housing development but it didnt really bother us.
The shower and toilet block is good, spotlessly clean and there were a lot of water points and bins dotted around. There is also a really good dog walk around the perimiter of the site.
Cayton Bay beach is about a 25 min walk away and it's lovely, dog friendly and pretty.
Fish and chips from the village chippy - average.
We had the most beautiful weather which added to our enjoyment, and the site was very quiet at night.
Definitely a re-visiter!

Lovely site
Stayed for 3 nights on our touring holiday. Chose a pitch on the lower half, well laid out good sized pitches. Beautifully redeveloped. Shops and pubs in village a few minutes walk. 30 mins walk to beach. Lovely wardens.
Not going to be our last visit
We have always booked Bridlington site for the east coast, we made a choice to try Cayton so glad we did, lovely welcome from the staff on arrival everything explained clearly.
Having not been here before we were not sure what to expect from the split site were surprised to find how busy the bottom part is and an oasis of space on the top part, we booked a serviced pitch which was flat and level (128) .
Site facilities spotless and very well maintained.
There is slight noise from the new build behind the site but not enough to detract from a peaceful weekend.
We took a walk to scarborough on the Cleveland way took about 2 hours inc stops a bit up and down but worth the effort for great views.
On our return we walked to one of the local pubs would definitely recommend the Farrier lovely place friendly staff.
Overall a pleasant peaceful stay will definitely return.
Thanks to all the staff for keeping this great site a pleasant place to stay 😀
