Great location for a site between Scarborough and Filey, however, it's too close to the McCain (over chips) plant. We were there for 2 nights in August and were unable to sit outside our campervan due to the foul smell from the plant. Even on the evening when we were in bed in the roof area of our van, we could still smell it. There was also a constant drone of noise coming from the plant even throughout the evening. We were situated in the top area of the camp, making us closer to the plant. Maybe if you're in the bottom area it's not as bad. I have made the club aware of the issue. It's a shame as the facilities, like the location, are great but a big part of camping for us is the great outdoors but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy them there due to the smell.
