Wonderful location

Booked 4 nights here. It’s our first trip to this site. A wonderful location although a little tricky getting here. The roads are a bit tight in places. We booked 4 nights because it was fully booked for the weekend. However, 21 people decided not to turn up with nearly half of them not bothering to contact the site to cancel. This seems to be a very common practice and something the club needs to address. The wardens work very hard on our behalf and for this many people to not bother turning up is very unfair. We would have liked to stay longer but according to the website it was fully booked. Members should be made to pay at least a 20% booking fee non-refundable at the time of booking. Every CL and private site we have stayed on does this so why can’t the club.

Totally agree with you,  just not turning up is unforgivable. Not only that but the club stands to loose around £600 per night in revenue, the blobbers  are the ones who will shout loudest when site prices are increased because of this. 
come on CAMHC stop shying away from this and address it.

I agree fully. The practice of book all options months in advance and go to the site with the best weather closer to the date is really bad. Charge a 20% holding fee. Don't turn up loose it which I think is fair as too many folk are playing the system.

How hard must it be for a computer to stop booking the same date at two locations for the same member ? If you want to do this then charge a 20% non returnable fee on both bookings. If you want the flexibility then pay for it.
