Review of the revamp
Being local this is a site we visit many times throughout the year and have missed visiting it during its revamp closure, so were eager to see the new changes. The toilet Block has been refitted out, the layout remains the same but is now clean and fresh, what is a huge disappointment is the shower pressure, this always was and remains utterly dismal, although I'm told it is fine in the men's. The dog walk has been smartened up with a new path, lighting and an additional gate fitted and fully serviced pitches can now be found in the old annexe.
I'm struggling to see why these changes took 9 months, however Castleton remains one of my favourite sites. Be sure to visit Tilly's tearoom and The Nags Head and The Grasshopper cafe in Hope.
