After visiting this site for the first time with my wife and toddler grandson I found the staff very pleasant and accommodating and the site under winter conditions very clean and tidy. The pitches are big, a little sloping but no problem. The showers and facilities are great with an indoor table tennis and pool area but sadly nothing for the toddlers which I think is a little bit of a let down. Not everyone goes cycling, hiking and walking and when you have little ones its nice to offer them a little something. If you have teens or you like doing the above activities this place is as good as it gets. Would definitely return but its not the place for toddlers. The area is well served with a supermarket in Hope and plenty of eateries and bars in Castleton which are a short walk from the site. We ate at the Peaks Inn on two occasions and the food was as nice as it gets for a pub with excellent staff, children and dogs welcome
