Enjoyable stay

My wife and I have just returned from an enjoyable 10 night stay in mostly beautiful weather at this pleasant site. Located only a short walk from the centre of Castleton where there are several pubs serving nice meals; we enjoyed The Castle, Cheshire Cheese, Old Nags Head (live music on Saturday nights) in particular. There are walks around the surrounding hills (Losehill, Mam Tor) directly from the site, and other fantastic Peak District walks are only a short drive away. Wardens at the site are pleasant and helpful, and the site facilities perfectly acceptable. Half an hour walk away is Hope Station with regular trains into Manchester and Sheffield. Whilst there were several families on site over Easter there is not a lot for children to do on site. Overall we thoroughly recommend this site for all Peak District highlights and will certainly return.
