What a fantastic site !! From the really friendly greeting upon arrival to the cleanliness of the site, Wardens would chat when they saw you and provide suggestions of places to go in the area, if like us, this is your first time in the area. The reservoir is within easy walking distance from the site and it is beautiful, with an 8 mile relatively flat circular walk if you feel energetic, if not, just do parts of it. Nice Cafe and Information room and handful of shops. Take your own Equipment (Kayak, Canoe, Paddle Board) or rent one out for the day. In the immediate area, within only a half hour’s drive there are just so many places to go, wether you want walks, cycling, fishing or just glorious landscapes and acres of peace and tranquility. The parking charges are some of the cheapest I have ever come across in this country, less than £4 for all day parking and the majority are Motorhome friendly. We would certainly return as there is so much that we did not get to do. The only minor irritation was the WiFi and Phone Signal on site was a bit hit and miss, but then again you are parked up in a forest and you can’t have everything now can you
