We arrived early afternoon last Tuesday. The shower block heating was not on. The following morning it was still not on and the outside temperature was only 2 degrees. When I mentioned this to the warden, he was less than helpful, saying that "he only knew this if he was told". Surely, it is his job to check!!!. He then became even more difficult. At that point, I decided to phone CMC to complain. Later that day, I spoke to another member, who had had the same "discussion" with the warden, the day before!!! It appears that the warden does not check the facilities and that the heating had not been on for at least 3 days. The site is a good location, but, both wardens have some issues regarding how they respond to members!!!
