Love it

A really nice site with an unusual layout. The wardens will ask you to walk around first and choose your pitch before lifting the barrier. having now done this I see why, so many dead ends with tucked away pitches. As with all club sites, its a credit to those who maintain it, nice clean shower block/loos and other facilities. There is a little road noise and a school playing field adjacent the site. but neither were an issue. The village is a very short walk from the gate and seems to cater for all that you may need, including a Fish & Chip shop, Chinese and Indian restaurant as well as a pizza place. The site has its own small dog walks but you have the beautiful chalk pits across the road to explore as well as a small nature reserve. the bus service also looked to be very efficient with stops not far from the site entrance. Things to be aware of are : no arrivals before 1 pm. There isn't a lot local to see and do apart from Cambridge which hasn't a lot offer. when leaving on your last day the traffic outside the gate can be backed up in to the village between 8 and 9.30 making a right turn with a caravan very difficult if you want to head for the M11 towards the M25. Will we go back, absolutely, we have already marked it down as a 2 day stop over when we head further up that side of the country next year.
