A bit of unseasonal nice weather and this was about our fifth choice as others were fully booked. Half empty the night we were there. Some noise from the back of the pub and you probably have to like dogs if you stay here, the surrounding park seemed to have an endless supply of yapping dogs regardless of how many (including our own) were on site. Otherwise a very spacious and tidy site and it was quiet at night. The steam railway runs behind it and there are the pub and a nice cafe ( only open Wednesday to Sunday I think) a few minutes walk away. Lots of little trails for ambling/ dog walking or cycling. I’m not sure what I’d do all day if I stayed more than a couple of nights but pleasant for a short stop ( especially if you have a sociable dog!).
