Excellent 2nd time stay

This was the second time we have stayed at Burford, and it was just as successful as our first visit in late 2011. This was the first time our 5 year old Grandson had stayed where he also assisted in pitching and setting up the caravan. He was fascinated and hopefully will become a caravanning devotee as he grows up. Site was very clean and excellently maintained by the wardens, even if some people seemed to have little awareness of the damage they were doing to the grass verges surrounding the pitches with inconsiderate parking etc. (We even witnessed one couple deliberately remove one of the cones that had been specifically placed to try and prevent further damage to the grass so that they could drive directly out without having to reverse, whilst simply making the matter worse). Wardens were also excellent and very friendly and helpful - the lady who checked us in spent a few minutes explaining to our Grandson about the one-way system - he took it all in and fastidiously followed the one-way system for the duration of his stay. We have only given the location a score of 3 stars - this is simply because it is a couple or so miles from Burford itself and you do need some form of transport to get anywhere; but we can quite understand that for some people that would be a big plus - its just our opinion.
