The Brass Rubbing Centre, superb gardens and narrow gauge railway - all are must see attractions making for a fantastic day out. Burford itself is a beautiful unspoilt Cotswold village, located conveniently near to the Burford Club Campsite. Populated with the warm, honey coloured stone buildings characteristic of the area, this small and sleepy town is a delight for families to discover. The campsite is close to the village of Bourton-on-the-Water with its Motor Museum, Model Railway and fine traditional pottery making. Jeremy Clarkson's popular pub and restaurant, The Farmer's Dog, is just a 10 minute drive away from the campsite and the university city of Oxford is also within easy reach, less than an hour away from the site.
Burford Golf Club is about a 5 minute drive from the site and offers a good challenge whatever your handicap. The Rose and Crown at Shilton just over the crossroads has excellent cask beer and serves top quality food. Bilbury and the wool town of Northleach, with its church and eccentric collection of mechanical music are also conveniently at hand during your stay on this wonderful site.
