Well what can we say. This site is perfect. Divided into various open and wooded areas, small round pitches with six or seven vans, larger areas in full sunlight all day and shaded spots too, beautifully maintained hedges, grassy areas and trees. Wonderful birdsong and wildlife. Fab little dog walk through shady beech trees, bountiful bluebells in May. The wardens are a fantastic couple Graham and Sue Clay. Always there to welcome you on arrival and willing to lend a hand when needed. Order a daily paper from Sue and collect it from the site office the next morning, they also sell ice creams and several store items, but no milk or bread so bring that with you. The site is beautifully presented. Access can be tricky, the lanes leading to it are very narrow, and the locals drive fast!! So approach the site driving carefully. We can highly recommend this place to anyone wanting tranquility and peace. The local village of East Hoathly is a 20 minute walk through footpaths and country lanes and the Sunday lunch at the The Kings Head pub will fill you up enough to last the week ahead! but book a table in advance.
