We love it here, but do you pay extra for the wardens to speak to you??
Hi
We love our annual visit to Broadway, what a location and what a village.
If you wanting relaxation, fine dining and a sleepy Cotswold village look no further.
The site this year has new wardens, the previous couple managed it as though it was theirs.
Our first impression and you always fo in first impression was when we arrived, and before anyone says we more than anyone always try and keep to the arrival check in time, however we turned up and pulled in the clearly marked bay arrivals!!!!! As we always do, yes it was 10.30 am on a Sunday we normally pull in a lay by near but due to the problems at Dover we noticed most spare pull in space was taken by lorries awaiting the backlog.
Anyway we turned up at 10.30 went into the reception to say yes we are early blah blah blah to be told not a problem but will you pull over into the car park / late arrivals area .... Strange I thought but not the type to create we did, so now we blocked the car park area and people came and parked And blocked us...11.15 am came two more vans arrived parked in the arrivals bay so we who really should be at the front ended up facing the wrong way and, causing a blockage and now third in line!!!! The very nice assistant did say we was first to go in but that didn't happen, for me it spoilt the arrival as I then had to leave the site to turn around and return...maybe a little bit thought from the warden next time, don't be a jobsworth ! Anyway that aside we set up and enjoyed two weeks of relaxation, the toilet block cleaning times is excellent we are early risers and use the facilities early but cleaning in the afternoon is a great idea.
The main wardens need to smile and interact but everything else is great.
We may give next year a miss due to the wardens, but hey who knows.
