fabulous break
Wow awesome place
Wonderful Site - Model staff
The warden staff here are incredibly helpful and we found on more than one visit, they will try their hardest to fit you in or accommodate your requirements, or just chat about the site and its location. More than any other site I've visited and I've been a CC member since 1980, these folk are charming and helpful in the extreme. If every site had staff of their calibre - which is most certainly not the case - then no-one would ever leave the Club.
Walkers paradise
March 2015
We enjoyed 3 days at this site, our third visit. The site is beautifully maintained and run but the wardens and the area (especially in March) we found to be quiet and interesting. Our only quibble was the water pressure in the upper site area and in particular in the attractive guise of the carefully and sympathetically converted railway shed. We particularly recommend the Crown and Trumpet nearby and the walk to Broadway Tower. The area in our opinion is probably not best suited for families.

Historical Surprise
Having just arrived home from a few nights at this site I thought I must tell its secret, maybe there aren't many amateur historians out there but when we walked up to 'The Goods in Toilet Block ' we were gobsmacked to not only find the block was an old converted railway building but housed safely inside, and protected in a huge glass case is the Wanderer, commissioned in 1885 by Dr William Gordon Stables, the worlds first purpose built touring caravan, and the inspiration behind the founding of the Caravan Club. Nothing is mentioned in the site info, and when the warden casually commented that "the Wanderer is in the top toilet block" I thought nah, I'm hearing things....but I wasn't. Oh the site is of course the usual excellence, facilities and Wardens alike, as we've come to expect from our club sites. We've been visiting this area for many many years and our favourite village is Bourton-On-The-Water, make it a must on your things to do list.
Lovely site
