Relaxing Stay

Just returned from a long weekend and can't wait to go back. The site is immaculate, very peaceful and relaxing. The Wardens were very polite and friendly always smiling, waving as they drove past on the tractor. Very dog friendly not only on site but everywhere we visited. Facilities perfect. Lovely walk into Broadway where the locals were also extremely friendly, everyone seemed happy and stopped to say hello. Can't wait for Broadway Station to be up and running, what more could you ask for! I would highly recommend this site.

Enjoyable Stay

Just returned from an excellent and most enjoyable stay at the Broadway Site. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. It was quite obvious throughout our stay that the wardens go the extra mile on this site. The site and facilities are well maintained. The toilet block which we used on the lower part of the site would benefit from refurbishment, however it was always cleaned to a high standard. The cleaning is undertaken during the afternoon and this appeared to be more acceptable to those on site. Some of the pitches can be a little tight if an awning is erected and they have a hedge along one side. The wi-fi is classed as ''gold standard'' but we had constant issues with low speed (0.45mbps) and with the connection dropping off. At best this should be classed as bronze with regards to the wi-fi. Broadway village is a short and pleasant walk away and we found three different walks incorporating Broadway Tower from which there are excellent views of the surrounding countryside. We look forward to a return visit.

Excellent as always

This is one of our favorite sites as we love Broadway which is an easy walk away. When we last visited the site was being upgraded and this visit we enjoyed the finished work. A few new grav3l pitches have been installed without ruining the site and gravel has been replaced. The dog walk is now more secure and due to bark chipping you won't get too muddy in wet weather. A large grill has been installed on the lower part of the site for motorhomes to dispose of grey waste which is very handy. The site is excellent as always. And a special mention to the wardens they have always been pretty good on this site but the ones when we visited were turbo charged with exceptional customer services with their friendliness and the attention to detail. It is little things that make a holiday. We tired the Lygon Arms who have just opened a new bar and it was very good with excellent food and good service too. They are dog friendly as well. Ideal when you want to treat yourselves.

Nice site nice area

We generally go to Morton in the marsh a couple of times a season but decided to try Broadway for a change this weekend, the site is immaculate. Although it seemed full from where we were it never felt crowded or hemmed it as can happen at Morton. The dog walk is small but adequate, wardens are helpful and friendly and know the local area well enough to be a real help. Broadway is a gentle 15 minute walk and is a typical charming Cotswold village and a nice morning or afternoon out. Although not the cheapest place to shop but with the site shop and local shop in petrol station over road from entrance you never leave site if you don’t want to. We don’t think it will take Morton away as our favourite local (we prefer the village of Morton to Broadway) but it is a clean tidy and spacious site. I would not normally recommend a toilet as a place to visit but the one on the top field is an old railway goods yard cleverly converted into 2 small amenity blocks, washing up area, indoor games room and houses the “wanderer” probably the first dedicated leisure caravan made, it still has the charms of an old building but all the mod con’s needed, well worth a visit and a good base if you want more than a weekend away. The fish and chips on a Saturday night are some of the best we have ever had, you have to wait a bit as they are prepared to order but well worth the wait, all in all a very child out and enjoyable weekend.

RELAXED AND SPOTLESS SITE

What a fantastic site, location perfect for visiting all area of cotswolds. weather made it a perfect holiday. lots to see, also plenty of lovely places to eat, Sunday roast at the Plough in the village of Ford was expensive but well worth the money. Our highlight was to see the Wanderer caravan and its history on display at this site. We highly recommend staying here, wardens very friendly.

Great site which has recently been upgraded

Visited the site for the first time and the photos are out of date at present. The site looks so much better than the photos, all the hardstandings are on a Cotswold buff stone now, the service points are all renewed and immaculately clean, grassed areas are all mown and strimmed and hedges and shrubs well cared for. Wifi looks as if it’s been upgraded renewed and we had no problems with wifi. They site is a busy site and looks as if it’s been heavily invested in its upkeep. The new playground is fantastic which has been totally replaced with new modern play equipment. Very much recommend this site. PS the hard standings are very hard and a wooden mallet will be wasted.

Toilet block cleaning to suit visitors not staff

Great site within walking distance of Broadway (10 mins) a very pleasant village with great facilities. The cleaning times of the toilet blocks is scheduled mid afternoon which is when most people don't need them, a great idea which we wish would be taken up on every site. Easy access from the raid into Broadway. We will return some day.

Top Class

Our first visit to the Broadway site for 3 x nights 25th - 28th June. Worst thing about the site is that it is too popular! Staff great, pitches a good size and well maintained. Be warned, judging by our experience and others we observed, you need good quality hard ground pegs and a good hammer for pegging down. Road noise was noticeable but not intrusive. What did surprise us was the rifle shooting on a nearby range throughout Monday evening until after 21:00 which got a bit annoying. The site improvement works that have apparently been going since November were a little inconvenient but judging by the speed of work, they will still be ongoing next November! We loved Broadway and the convenience of being able to walk in and found the Budgeons store to be excellent. Will be back if and when we can get booked in as there are so many more places to visit in and around Broadway. Incidentally, we had no problem with the wifi signal during our stay.

Good Location For Visting Cotswolds

There has been quite a bit of work carried out since our visit last year. On check in the warden was so enthusiastic about the changes. Throughout our stay we found all the wardens very helpful and hard working. With the new hard standing gravel there was no problem in pegging out the awning. They are in the process of renewing the steps to the upper levels. Despite these improvements there are signs that investment is needed in refurbishing the toilets and showers. As an example in one of the gents showers a tile at the base is shattered which was clearly letting water in behind it. Also the plastic tile trim is broken in the shower basin which could easy cut a persons foot. This has to be balanced with the fact that the toilets and showers are kept very clean by the wardens. The site has a silver WiFi rating, but the WiFi on site was beyond terrible. Trying to log in was a nightmare when eventually the device would pick up the WiFi signal it would not log in. When I eventually managed to log in it kept constantly dropping the signal this was at all times of the day, evening and night so it was not due to excessive usage by others. For phone signals we managed just to get a 3G signal with Three. However with EE at times we couldn't get a good enough signal to make a phone call. I have contacted the Club and suggested that they install 3G and 4G mobile phone boosters at this and other sites - the cost of this is minimal. The very small dog exercise area is looking more like a rubbish dumping area. A lot of rubble has been put on the ground it looks very uncared for. If you want a reasonable dog walk turn left outside the main entrance, go under the bridge (take care as no pavement), then turn left along the footpath. Continue along the footpath till you reach a road (Childswickham Road) then turn left and after a few yards cross the road onto the continuation of the footpath. This will take you to the village of Childswickham with a nice pub (but they are extending it so building work in the beer garden in progress). It's easy to cut this short and walk through a Leedons Residential and Holiday Park and return back to the site on the road. Broadway Village is lovely and a walk up to Broadway Tower (and it cafe) is well worth the effort. This used to be a very quiet site but we have noticed an increase in traffic noise, motor cycles, on at the rear of the site from Childswickham Road. We may return but will be using this as a one/two night stop over site.
