1st Time visit

This was our 1st visit to Brighton C&MC site we wanted a local 3 night getaway & we wasn’t disappointed. Walked into Brighton quite a hike but well worth it the location is perfect for what we like. The site was immaculate never seen shower blocks so clean scared to use them. All wardens are newbie’s and very friendly and approachable. Site cleaniness a credit to them. We will definitely return for long weekends. Only 2 things I would like to see changed the hot water in the washing up block closest to the entrance the hot water is only luke warm needs turning up and the lack of a bench or shelf in the showers whilst showering. Great site for us locals to visit.

It is an excellent site but.....

As expected with the Caravan Club this site is in excellent condition with good facilities and pitches and it is difficult to find fault. I was surprised at the lack of benches or stools in the showers but assumed this was the aftermath of the pandemic. The site itself is set on the slope of a hill which means if you choose to walk or ride a bike into Brighton I would suggest you need to be reasonably fit. I do both and it took some effort to get from the beach path to the site. On a more positive note there is a cycle path which will take you to Shoreham over 5 miles in one direction and 3 miles to Saltdean in the other and both are mostly flat. There is supposedly a good bus service and I would imagine the taxis are kept busy at times! The 5% vat reduction and the time of year just about swung the cost of staying here in my favour and I'm glad I visited Brighton again after so many years but for me there is unlikely to be a return visit

Peaceful, mid-week stay

This was our first stay at Brighton CMC Site, chosen so we could meet friends and relatives. We like a quiet, peaceful site and - mid-week, term-time and February! - it was just that. Spacious, Serviced Pitch was welcome for our motorhome. Such pitches are not cheap but do make keeping the water topped up very easy. Everything was clean and well-ordered on the site and the staff helpful. Our only disappointment was that we did not see on the site description that there was not an enclosed dog-walking area where our dog could have a real run about. That's a small gripe, I suppose, as the surrounding area gave opportunities, but we were surprised not to find a dog walk as such. I must agree that the potholes on the approach road were pretty bad. Nevertheless, we would recommend the site for others wanting to visit this area.

Great site but shame about the approach road

Been to this site lots of times, so convenient for Brighton Centre. Easy bike ride on cycle paths or catch the bus from the Whitehawk Bus Station. The downside is that the approach road alongside the Brighton College playing fields is getting worse with large potholes. Can the Club not have any influence on the Council to get these repaired?

Great site

Well maintained site, facilities, location all good. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the marina, and a 10-minute walk to the bus which takes you into Brighton. Brighton was bustling. We had an excellent lunch in vegetarian restaurant Terre à Terre in East Street. The Marina also has plenty of restaurants and The Master Mariner pub with open fires, which were very welcome in January. The site was nice and quiet. We were visited by a couple of squirrels, (both looked very well fed!) and at night we could hear an owl. I didn’t see excessive amounts of litter anywhere, on the roads or in Brighton, and we did a lot of walking to and from the site (so not sure where previous reviewer was referring to). (Just two adults on this visit so not really qualified to say whether the site is good for families but there’s no option to skip that field so gave it one tick.) Will definitely use the site again.

Good well maintained site

This site is well maintained and the staff are polite and very pleasant. However outside the boundary of the site the roads all the way down to the sea front and along the promenade are filthy with litter being scattered everywhere, i have also seen several rats roaming around in broad daylight. It would seem that the green party council is more interested in the woke agenda rather than cleanliness.

Pleasant weekend

We had a lovely quiet weekend with friends at this well organised and maintained site. Although the site was full it didn't feel busy. We really enjoyed our morning pastries from Phillippe. What a bonus he is.!

First visit and will return

Arrived onsite and greeted by friendly wardens, who were having problems with the booking system. This did not deter the lady from finding 2 adjacent pitches near the shower block, when I explained that my friend would be joining me later in the day and we were travelling alone. Site is well laid out and within easy reach of the marina and a regular bus service to the town centre. Facilities were some of the cleanest I’ve seen and each block cleaned at staggered times. Would highly recommend and thank you to all the wardens.

Always love our trips to Brighton

We visit site normally twice a year and it never disappoints always clean and tidy and friendly wardens. We always seem to find 1 or 2 new watering holes on our travels. We totted up 26 miles walking around this trip. Booked for next May so see you then! 😁🚍🐾🐾🍻👍

Fabulous Site

This is one of our favourite sites. Just returned from a week here, easy cycling into Brighton, large Asda close by and Brighton Marina good for restaurants and bars. A lovely clean and tidy site and friendly warden's, one of the best things is there are two very good toilet/shower blocks one closes at 10.30 am for cleaning and the other at 2.00 pm. Our pet hate with some CAMC sites is the closure of facilities around 10.00 am, the best time to be closed, in our opinion, is in the afternoon. So thank you Brighton. This is not the sites fault but this year we have noticed a rise in people pitching badly and a big rise in yappy dog's! We did seem to have a constant background noise of dog's barking. Still despite this, as it seems to be becoming more common on sites, we look forward to our next trip to Brighton. For info the BA i360 is excellent, if a little pricey, try Bankers fish and chip restaurant for your fish and chips and The Ivy in The Lanes.
