Reception staff were so friendly and welcoming.
We were given excellent info sheets on arrival, detailing local events and directions to the nearest supermarket, vet, walkways cycle routes etc. Never before has information been so detailed and useful.
The whole site was clean and tidy
Pitches are well spaced
A happy arrival and stay leads to happy campers
We stayed out of season/school holidays and the site was silent and perfect
Chef Phillipe is on site and makes excellent coffee and snacks to buy each day - lovely addition to the site
Fantastic site for cycling
It's extremely expensive for us - Motorhome with 2 adults who don't use facilities but there is nothing else around that ticks all the boxes - we initially booked for one night with the intention of moving on but ended up staying 3
My new favourite site, foxes visit every night 🦊
OMG, why haven’t I been here before?
This site is now one of my favourite sites, great location, except on the road just before the site were old dirty caravans where people were living in them, it brings the area down a bit, once you have driven past that it’s CAMC quality all the way.
Checking in was nice and easy, found our pitch which was lively and flat and easy to reverse on.
We were close to the facilities which was great for my boys, there is a park which was substantial for kids, no dog walk on site but lovely walks on the downs and towards the beach from the site, 10 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes from the downs.
Just outside the site is a great big park for the kids, my boys (12 YO) went to quite often.
In an evening there will be foxes, they can be very noisy but I love hearing wildlife, owls tooting too. Make sure you put lids on the bins properly and don’t leave your rubbish outside.
I will be back as it was so nicely placed and so much to see and lots of towns close by to visit!
Price’s increases and Noisy site
I’ve been coming to Brighton Caravan Club for many years 7+ and sometimes 10 holiday breaks a year here but last week really changed my mind on how busy and noisy site actually is. I accept it’s a busy site with check in and departures sure but to have the wardens constantly driving their golf buggies up and down 20+ times a day it does get a bit draining not to mention the 1000+ dB ride on lawn mowers/tractors constantly to and from!
Now with the added price increase it has become financially unaffordable to go to Brighton CAMC with an average 3 day break with 2 adults & 2 children costing £162.40.
So now I’ve cancelled 3 of my 7 trips here and unfortunately found another site that charges £20 per night with ehu, toilet block and waste facilities not a 5* site or as good as location I get as Brighton but a whopping saving!!!
Whilst I’m leaving this review I might as well add a couple of suggestions. 1 is with the toilet blocks I think in high season times the toilet blocks times should cut down and cleaned twice a day or at least checked by staff in the evening’s as what I have seen is absolutely disgusting NOT by the staff but by other camping user’s 🤢🤢🤢 2 of the toilets was blocked with faeces overflowing and NO HAND SOAP in block 2 shower block and then it stays like that until the wardens then have to go in a clear it the following day.
2 is as you come out of the clubsite there is a terrible blind spot where at the top of the hill where there could be a dome blind spot mirror fitted to see on coming traffic as new campers are always very kean to get on site and cut the corner and could quiet easily cause an accident. I know this could be council land but there’s no harm in asking the council to fit one?
I would like to finish on a positive note and say the new wardens are nice and welcoming.
Hidden Gem
Love this site, tucked away from the hustle of Brighton.
Lots of easy walks right next to the site. Easy access to the centre. Usual high standard of facilities. Wardens are helpful and cheerful.
Small dog walking area for that emergency need but plenty of area to take them for a run just outside.
Excellent site perfect location
We recently stayed here having booked 3 nights but enjoyed it so much we stayed 4. The site is immaculate with really lovely friendly wardens. Perfect site to stay if you have dogs as you step out the site and you are in the middle of East Brighton Park where your dog can run off leash. We walked down to the Marina and into Brighton all along the seafront. We also got the bus to Eastbourne. I would highly reccommend this site.

I Tip my hat to the Team.
First ever review for CMC. Arrived on Friday and the Alde Heating panel in our caravan failed. Asked if a new panel could be sent directly to the site as we are here a further 10 days. The team could not have been more helpful. Very polite and great advice even asked which courier was to be used for delivery as they know generally which times they receive items from each courier. All staff very happy and polite and will answer any question you may have about the site or local area. Facilities clean and tidy. Though there is no dog walk area to speak of, there is a small enclosed dog area behind the ladies (Centre Building) for emergencies they can go. Generally the pitches seemed well spaced and there is an upper level a with little more seclusion. Some areas on grass deliberately not cut to provide homes for natures little creatures.(does not detract from the overall tidiness of the site). Plenty of walking opportunities for all abilities from the site.Still learning about the local area as we are still here and its our first (not Last) visit here. Yes the access road is in need of repair, no fault of CMC, Just take your time, They are updating some pitches though this was not imposing on our stay A big thank you to the team here, who were most helpful in our hour of need.
1st Time visit
This was our 1st visit to Brighton C&MC site we wanted a local 3 night getaway & we wasn’t disappointed. Walked into Brighton quite a hike but well worth it the location is perfect for what we like. The site was immaculate never seen shower blocks so clean scared to use them. All wardens are newbie’s and very friendly and approachable. Site cleaniness a credit to them. We will definitely return for long weekends.
Only 2 things I would like to see changed the hot water in the washing up block closest to the entrance the hot water is only luke warm needs turning up and the lack of a bench or shelf in the showers whilst showering.
Great site for us locals to visit.
It is an excellent site but.....
As expected with the Caravan Club this site is in excellent condition with good facilities and pitches and it is difficult to find fault. I was surprised at the lack of benches or stools in the showers but assumed this was the aftermath of the pandemic.
The site itself is set on the slope of a hill which means if you choose to walk or ride a bike into Brighton I would suggest you need to be reasonably fit. I do both and it took some effort to get from the beach path to the site. On a more positive note there is a cycle path which will take you to Shoreham over 5 miles in one direction and 3 miles to Saltdean in the other and both are mostly flat. There is supposedly a good bus service and I would imagine the taxis are kept busy at times!
The 5% vat reduction and the time of year just about swung the cost of staying here in my favour and I'm glad I visited Brighton again after so many years but for me there is unlikely to be a return visit
Peaceful, mid-week stay
This was our first stay at Brighton CMC Site, chosen so we could meet friends and relatives. We like a quiet, peaceful site and - mid-week, term-time and February! - it was just that. Spacious, Serviced Pitch was welcome for our motorhome. Such pitches are not cheap but do make keeping the water topped up very easy. Everything was clean and well-ordered on the site and the staff helpful. Our only disappointment was that we did not see on the site description that there was not an enclosed dog-walking area where our dog could have a real run about. That's a small gripe, I suppose, as the surrounding area gave opportunities, but we were surprised not to find a dog walk as such. I must agree that the potholes on the approach road were pretty bad. Nevertheless, we would recommend the site for others wanting to visit this area.

Great site but shame about the approach road
Been to this site lots of times, so convenient for Brighton Centre. Easy bike ride on cycle paths or catch the bus from the Whitehawk Bus Station. The downside is that the approach road alongside the Brighton College playing fields is getting worse with large potholes. Can the Club not have any influence on the Council to get these repaired?
