We’ve stayed here several times now and can highly recommend this site for: service, cleanliness, organisation, proximity to Brighton & beach. Staff are always ready to go over & above to help and we like Chef Phillipe coffee shop too - a great addition to the site.
Peaceful and lovely sight
I stayed here in February and I have to say I was surprised how peaceful the site was. It's nestled between some green hills with trees surrounding the site so I could hear bird song until late in the evening. No traffic noise and peaceful nights sleep. It's about 15 minutes walk to the Marina and another 20 into Brighton. It feels like the best of both worlds, close enough to enjoy busy Brighton but far enough to have peaceful days and rest. Would definitely return, all facilities great and well looked after.
Overnight stay
We have visited this siteon many occasions and always very happy.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Facilities very clean and well looked after.
Would recommend to anyone visiting this area.
Fabulous
This was our first stay at a large site and we were impressed. Ok so you pay a bit more but clean, organized, well serviced, staffed, great facilities, also quiet for a large site. This site is close to the sea and very well placed. We would definitely visit again. Brighton is so we'll set up for cycling which was great for us.
Love this site
This was my fourth or fifth visit to this site…a fabulous location. To be fair I sometimes stay because I’m working in the area [Shoreham Port]. I say work as I prefer to stay here over the hotel option…because all year round it’s a holiday vibe - but that’s Brighton for you!
This time I needed a little assistance with my barrier key [my error]…without asking for help one of the wardens came to help…whilst he was rightly firm with me [it was after the 10pm quiet zone], the next morning he took the time to check I was ok & sorted. Can’t fault him or any of the wardens who work hard to keep this site & facilities spotless.
I believe the heavily pot holed entrance road is being attended to soon too.
A definite one to visit & without question…I’ll be back!
Great Site, Great Location
We have just spent 2 nights at the site and could find no faults whatsoever. Checking in at reception was very easy with friendly staff. We were advised to select our own pitch (blue markers) which we did and my good lady advised the office of where we were whilst I got us set up
The information leaflet we were given was excellent, very informative, with some great recommendations and we quickly found the bus stop to go into Brighton. The road into the site is okay but be aware, at the time of submitting this review, there are some very large potholes lurking so keep an eye open for them. I would suggest that if you are walking the road during darkness then a torch would be very beneficial and possibly prevent a visit to A&E!
The site itself was very nice, the toilet/shower block we used was very clean. The grounds themselves were nice. There is a very frequent bus service just a short walk from the site into Brighton.
Brighton has so much to offer with a plethora of independent shops in The Lanes, some excellent restaurants and cafes, the seafront itself and some great entertainment venues.
We would definitely return to the site.
very clean site quiet easy walking distance to the bus stop and sea front
we stayed on this site for three nights, it was quiet and peaceful the facilities were very good, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. you can walk to the sea front and all along the prom, there is also a bus within easy walking. don't be put off by what looks like travellers caravans parked on the side of the road to access of the site, it will not affect your stay.
A lovely site
This was our second visit to this site, which we both like. The site is well maintained and the facilities blocks are spotlessly clean. The site staff are all friendly and helpful and do an excellent job of maintaining this large site. We were surprised to see there were no codes or keys for the toilet block doors as there are so many motorchomes and campervans parked on the approach road outside the site. It's an easy walk from the site to the Marina and seafront as well as walking in the opposite direction towards the South Downs. We will return to the site again.

Wonderful friendly site
There's no doubt this is a very well maintained, clean and well equipped site.
The staff are especially friendly and put themselves out to be helpful.
There are a couple of downsides though and not the fault of the campsite admin.
The access road is badly potholed and unlit.
This road is also home to several abandoned caravans and some off the grid campers. It's not a welcoming sight when you are approaching the official campsite.
We are relatively new to caravanning and on this visit we were towing our small caravan behind our VW motorhome.
The hard standings are not entirely level - I don't mind that but my wife is very susceptible to 'angle' when she sleeps so a fair bit of jiggling about was necessary to get everything level in the van.
The surface is chipped stone, so when it came to erecting our new awning it was extremely difficult to get the pegs in.
Fortunately I had some extra steel rock pegs that managed to penetrate.
There is no onsite shopping which is a pity for those last minute essentials that almost everyone forgets.
There is however a very nice pop-up cafe manned by Phillipe who produces pastries and croissants and excellent coffee in the morning.
Brighton centre is a good 40 minute walk but it's a very pleasant one along the seafront and there are some good bus routes available if you don't want to take your vehicle off site.
Brighton is such a jolly city and it's a pleasure to visit; lots of un and choices of bars and restaurants.
Don't be put off by the access road; the camp staff and Brighton itself makes it all worthwhile.
Nice site, wrong location.
Just returned from 6 nights at Brighton Club site. Being formerly from Sussex, , I have walked past this site many times. Now living in Somerset it seemed the perfect place to stay when visiting family and friends in Sussex. The site is lovely and well laid out. The staff are the friendliest I have come across. We were greeted with a lovely smiley lady, even though they were very busy. They were still smiling the next day despite there being a long queue of arrivals before the indicated arrival time.. they definitely had their work cut out! The facilities are spotless as usual and our pitch was up on the top level in a quiet spot. The downside is the approach road. This is outside the Club’s control, but could be a big ‘put off’ as a first impression. The Travellers have been there for years, so was not a surprise to me. There actually wasn’t any there this time anyway apart from a couple of seemingly derelict caravans quite near to the site entrance. Half way through the week the council actually put a notice of eviction on them. The worst thing is the huge potholes. Great care is needed with a Motorhome or towing a caravan. We invited a couple of friends to visit for coffee. They are club members and only live in Burgess Hill. However, when asked we were told they would have to park in that lane. As it was too far for them to walk from there to our pitch, they did not come. I tried to speak to the staff about this, but they were very busy and I didn’t want to bother them. It is also quite a long way to walk to the Marina for shops, cafes and buses into Brighton and beyond. We don’t mind walking, but after doing an 8 mile organised walk on one day, I really didn’t want to have to walk into the Marina (about 25 minutes walk) just to get dinner. We had intended to use buses as there are plenty to everywhere, but ended up walking up and down that approach road several times, just to get anywhere and had to take the Motorhome off site when we had not planned to.
Overall it’s a nice site, but I don’t think we will stay again, purely as the position isn’t brilliant.
