Posted on 15/05/2018 20:02 bySo depressing. Our pleasure is at the whim of how fast a warden can clean a bathroom. Talk about a race to the bottom. You couldn't make it up .

DD - how much "pleasure" can any one person get from using a toilet/shower?
Given the relatively small amount of time spent in them, I'm normally quite satisfied with the standard of club facilities. Those individual bathrooms (they have them at Ross Park where we stayed last year as well) are all well and good but, of necessity, limited in numbers. So if the club manages to increase the number of showers and decrease any queueing time, surely that's got to be a good thing?

Posted on 15/05/2018 19:05 by moulesyNot sure where that 20% figure comes from? You may well be right, N5, but no one is stopping the "older generation" enjoying this site, surely? I can't imagine it's suddenly going to be overrun with children as it has no play area and is not within walking distance of any beaches as far as I remember.
At the end of the day, the club has invested in a new site to its network, which is surely good news? If there was a good chance of it continuing as a profitable AO site maybe other buyers would have been interested.

“As for being an ‘inclusive’ club, when only 20% of members have children, how does stopping the older generation enjoying this site represent equal. They are not helped to their pitch and are not allowed awnings up if seasonal. Many have had to leave or will have to sell their caravans.“
N5, sorry but your logic defies my understanding. No one is stopping older people using this site. What’s this helped to pitch business and who is making people sell their vans? That’s all very odd. It’s a free country and people are at liberty to use a site or not. Similarly, site owners can run a site in any way they choose.

Posted on 15/05/2018 20:23 by JVB66I think imho that the amount of money that seems is needed to bring it up to the latest standards, probably put off some comercial operators we are booked to go in july so will see if the locals or the reviews are correct ,

When I spoke to the site staff to make a booking they were pulling their hair out at what a slapdash booking system that the previos owners had ,as she was finding when trying to sort it out ,multiple double bookings, also there was also multiple problems with the old infrastructure ,that was causing problems for site users, so if it has changed it can only be for the better
