Autumn break for mature couple and 2 doggies

Site currently being extended, so lots of workmen on site edges. Well located on Flamborough road but nonetheless convenient for town. Very helpful wardens who do so much to keep the site clean . At time of visit there were only 45 pitches available hence it reports full when technically it isn't- reflecting available pitches currently. Really enjoyed our stay on the east coast.

Autumn break

We originally booked for two nights at the end of October and the beginning of November and due to cancellations we ended up staying for four. We had been meaning to visit this site since it opened but have never managed to get a booking. We arrived knowing it was having a upgrade, this wasn't a problem apart from a bit of mud on the road. The wardens were wonderful and very helpful. When we arrived they turned up offering to help position the caravan but this being my first run out with a mover fitted i declined the offer lol. The Shower and toilet block was immaculate and having piped radio was very good. Plenty to do around the area with some nice walks from the site. There is a bus stop to and from Bridlington and Bempton at the site entrance. Two dog friendly pubs within walking distance. We hope once the site has been extended we might be able to get booked in more often because we will certainly be returning. Thanks again to the hard working wardens.

Highly recommend

Visited at end of October and even though there was maintenance work going on at the site my stay there was great. I came to visit family locally and know the area well. The staff were very helpful ( I always need assistance getting my caravan onto the pitch!) and friendly. The workmen were also considerate and friendly. I will definitely be returning here and look forward to staying at the refreshed site. Open all year as well which is a bonus.

Good site, lovely facilities

Stayed a couple of nights late September, just before the closure for the extension so it was very quiet. Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean as always. Site is well located for visiting the area and is within easy reach of Bempton, Bridlington and Flamborough. You can walk from the site to the beach at Danes Dyke and then along the coast which is a lovely walk, although the first/last section is on the pavement alongside the main road. There are no shops/pubs on the doorstep as far as we could tell, but plenty to choose from in Bridlington and the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay (our second visit) and would use the site again without hesitation.

a little gripe

Just stayed here for 4 days, site and wardens perfect, however 1 small gripe,we were on pitch no.19 and there was a constant procession of people (from the back pitches) traipsing over the grass,in front of caravans on pitches 18 and 19 and even over the wooden fence to get to the water services instead of walking on the path.If people cant manage this simple task, then a sign needs going up or the wooden fence needs extending, although i should have raised this with the warden we were in a hurry on our last day

disappointed after high expectation

We were finally able to stay on this site for the first time this weekend (15th September). It still feels relatively new and as a result extremely clean and tidy. You could not fault the staff or the site. All I am about to say that is negative maybe down to the time of year and/or the extension to the site that's taking place presently; Residents... there were no families that we could find, only couples so the site lacked atmosphere Quiet... deathly quiet. Dare I say too quiet... Distance out of town... we walked in to Bridlington which was a good 4 miles on the coastal path and it was lovely. But we got stranded trying to get home. Buses stop running at 6pm and all the taxi's didn't answer the phone. I had a 5 year old and a pooch with me and it was turning chilly and dark, luckily the site warden gave me another taxi number that answered and saved our souls. Because of the lack of onsite fun for my daughter, we elected to pack up early and leave on Saturday.

Lovely warm welcome from the warden who are doing an excellent job of keeping the site immaculate Dog walk was perfect and certainly needed as it is not good off site nearby for walking. Bus stop outside for us Motorhome owners into Bridlington Lovely walking back using the golf course path to avoid the roads

Excellent site

We have had a very enjoyable weeks stay. Site is very tidy and well maintained. No noise from children even though we were up by the play area! The wardens were very helpful especially after I had found a stray dog.lots to do locally. Visited the Nucular bunker, York, and the local model village. All three I would recommend. Will be returning in the future.

First Visit

We thought it would be nice to revisit the area where we had not been for many years. We also wanted to visit Hull and we could do this from Bridlington Station. The welcome at Reception was perfectly friendly although I thought there was a little too much emphasis positioning the unit in a way to allow mowing of the grass. We have quite a long unit so we often have to make the full use of the pitch length. I think there is a little bit too much preciousness about the grass on this site with yellow pegs everywhere!!! This is a nice site with good facilities and even the WiFi works reasonably well. The site is being extended which will hopefully include an open grid motorhome service point as the current one still requires heavy drain covers to be removed. Although the extension work is ongoing it did not impact on our stay in any way, in fact the only reason you know it's going on is seeing the odd dumper truck right the way down by the main road. For those not wanting to use their own transport to get out and about there is a bus service directly by the site entrance, unfortunately it's only an hourly service. Alternatively local taxi's seem quite reasonably priced. Sewerby Hall is within reasonable walking distance. I think my one gripe about this site is the price per night at £32, not even in the school holidays. When we left Bridlington we stayed at Poolsbrook which was almost identical in quality and facilities and yet was £9 a night cheaper?
