stunning views

an excellent site, staff and facilities. pity its not available all year round, there are plenty on offer for all types of activities or just lazing around.  its a pity that the national parks, don,t accept that tourism is a 12 month event in wales. 4.5 stars.. 5 stars means its free.

Wonderful

We stayed for a week over Eater weekend and this was our first visit to Brecon. The site was beautiful with a gorgeous backdrop to the beacons. Staff were friendly and helpful and it felt very safe for our small child. The road running past was a little noisy at times in the day but no issue at night. The pub in walking distance and signposted from the site is highly recommended! Also a handy indoor play centre for the children on a torrential rain day!

Superb

We stayed at Brecon Beacons for the first time - 30th March for four nights but it won't be the last time! Fanastic views of the Beacons from the site. Well spaced area for each caravan, with plenty of room for awnings. The toilet/showers/washing areas were spotless. The wardens on site were very welcoming and always around to help with questions. Fantastic site.

What a great site

We visited this site for the first time over the bank holiday weekend, as soon as we pulled up we was impressed from the start. As usual we was greeted by friendly and helpful wardens. The layout of the site gives a great feeling of room and space and the site was extremely well maintained and the pitches or certainly the pitch we had was a very generous size. The facilities were immaculate and the shop on site had everything you could wish for (caravan bits and bobs, magazines, papers etc etc), i forgot the dogs tie out stake which not only could i get one at the shop.. but there was also a choice of sizes! The views form the site of the Brecons and the Brecons its self are stunning, a fantastic place to explore. We left it a bit late to book a table for the local pub advertised at the site, so ended up going to the Clairence Inn in Brecon, highly recommend it... very friendly staff (they couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and entertain the kids) and really fantastic food, would def recommend the "black rock". The dog walk was one of the best i've come across on any site over the years and the kids play area kept them busy, the field it's located in is more then big enough for a good kick around with a ball. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can, loved the place.

GREAT SITE AND WARDENS

Made our 1st visit to this site over the BH. Standards as usual were high in all regards. We had to cut our holiday short for personal reasons however the wardens were very understanding and helpful re our circumstance. Many thanks and see you soon.

An excellent site

We have come to appreciate that the Caravan Club sites are of the highest quality - and this is no exception.   Brecon Beacon site is very neatly maintained and managed by a team of informative and dedicated wardens.  We were welcomed very warmly by a lady who was new to the post but who did her best to make us feel happy to be there.  Other managers were happy to tell us of what was available in the area - and of what we could look for when we went cycling in the Peak District.  The facilities were very cleanly kept up and what impressed me - perhaps sadly!! - is that the shower blocks were cleaned at other times from when we were expecting to leave / arrive. A pub - The Three Horseshoes - local to the site was an easy walk away and down a country lane but one with very little traffic on it - but still remember to take a torch if returning in the dark as there are no streetlights. The beer there was really good as were the "nibbles" but I thought the regular food a little expensive - perhaps not to everyone but it was for me. Very near to the site is also the Monmouth to Brecon canal and is perfect for a flat and undemanding cycle ride to Pencelli and on to Talybolt-on-Usk.  The "path" thereafter to the reservoir is very rough but the view of the reservoir is worth the effort. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Brecon Beacons Caravan Club site - and I would recommend it to anyone.
