Lovely site

Easy to find, well planned and easy to manoeuvre. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Facilities are spotless and attractive and there is a well stocked shop. Pleasant walks straight from site and a very pleasant pub in easy walking distance. All in all very impressed and would definitely stay again.

Loud road noise from motor bikes

We have stayed three times on this site this year and have been very satisfied. However this time the noise levels from the road were extreme, and also a wedding party next to the site on the Saturday night was quite loud. Staff were as usual very helpful and pleasant and the site is immaculate.

Unbearable road noise

This is a beautifully maintained site and the wardens are very friendly and helpful.  However, something which is outside of their control is the road noise.  The site sits sandwiched between two A roads which appear to be used as racetracks all day and all night.  Unfortunately this meant our recent 2 night stay was ruined and we won't return.

Just too noisy

We stayed here for two nights on a serviced pitch with awning. When we arrived we were told that the only available pitches were along the edge of the site bordering the A40, which is a dual carriageway at this point. The road noise on our pitch was excessive and continued throughout both days and nights and included the sound of racing motorbikes from early (07:00) on Sunday. Although the area around the site is beautiful and the site itself is well-maintained, the road noise meant we slept little and could not sit out and enjoy the surroundings. Having walked around the site it appeared that the noise permeates right through, although it is worse on the A40 side. We noticed a number of empty pitches throughout the site as we walked through during the weekend - perhaps they were out of action for a reason but we would have much preferred to have stayed on one of them away from the road. We would not return to this site.

a pleasant stay

we stayed here for one week and found the site very clean with very good toilet and shower facilities a well stocked shop at reasonable prices, the dog walk was one of the best we have seen, the electric was no problem at all and although the site says the tv reception is poor we had no problem, overall a very pleasant stay with easy access to pitches and good security, just needed better weather.

A nice site in a lovely area

Brecon is what we expect from a Caravan Club site with the bonus of a well stocked little shop. Spotlessly clean toilet & shower blocks. Well spaced out, large pitches. Mostly pleasant staff. Excellent dog walks and a nice play area/field for the kids. Not the quietest of sites in the middle of 2 'A' roads which did sound like a race track at times but a lovely place to stay surrounded by beautiful scenery.

A jewel in the Brecon Beacons

I have just spent a week at the Brecon Beacons Caravan Club Site just outside Brecon and can't speak highly enough about our time there - even with the rain and showers. Having been touring for the past 6 years or so with my my now teenage twins, we have visited many sites in the UK and in France - some with the Caravan and Camping Club, some private and some at holiday camps such as Haven. None of these came anywhere near the superb facilities and friendly staff at Brecon. The site was easy to find and had lots of room with excellent facilities including the shop on site, spacious plots, a large play area and immaculate washing facilities that were the cleanest I have ever seen, with plenty of warm water in the showers, that didn't require you to lean against a button to keep the water flowing! I would highly recommend anyone visiting this site, quite apart from the beauty of its' surroundings. David Parry 31st July 2016

Long weekend

This is a superb site, easy to find, plenty of space and great facilities. The on site shop stocks all you need and some! The best dog walk we have come across since using the Caravan Club sites and a huge play area for the kids. One of the best sites we've been to, only downside was some traffic noise from the nearby roads but it certainly didn't spoil our weekend. I hope we will return in the not too distant future.
