A Hidden Gem !!

Met by the lovely & very helpful Robin & Annette, who could not have been more welcoming. Although this site requires you to have your own facilities, everything else is spot on. The pitches are level & an ample size (we have a rear door Swift Basecamp) but not a problem with pitch length. The site is beautifully maintained with the charming floral areas well tended and the grass & hedges immaculate. Very quiet & peaceful & easy to get to Bourton on the Water & Stow on the Wold. Would definitely book again ! and recommend to friends, family & fellow campers !!

Lovely quiet site for couples and older guests

Lovely site, very pretty and about 5 miles from Bourton on Water which is beautiful. Anette and Robin the wardens were friendly and extremely helpful when we discovered we had an issue with our electrics; Robin helped get us back up and running again so that we could enjoy our stay which was very much appreciated! The site is in the middle of the countryside so very quiet and a dog walk route on site into the fields. I marked low on 'facilities' because as mentioned in the site details there is no toilet block or washing up facilities so you need to be self-sufficient - however the rest of the site is very clean and well presented. I also marked low on 'good for families' because i would not recommend the site for anyone wanting to bring their children. There are no washrooms, play area or indeed any grassy areas for them to play apart from on your own pitch and in fact we did get a few dirty looks from some of our fellow caravanners seemingly because we had a child with us. The majority of people were friendly and said hi but the odd few couples seemed to think they had booked an adult exclusive resort! I would recommend families book the Burford site which is only 30 mins away and has much more family friendly facilities.

Superb site with the best warden

Spent 2 nights here en route to Cornwall. Robin, the warden could not have been more helpful.or friendly. One of the best wardens we have come across. The site is fantastic, well maintained grass pitches with superb drainage. Plenty to do in the area. Booked to return for a longer break in 2023. No toilets or showers, which suits us as we use our own facilities anyway

So peaceful

We have just had 5 nights at this site and its definitely now on our favourites list. The site is absolutely spotless and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. Ideally located to visit Bourton on the water and other cotswold villages. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site.

Welcome Like No Other

Such a friendly welcome after a tedious journey to this lovely little site. Set approx five miles from Bourton on the Water its perfect for visiting this beautiful area, and a little further afield dont miss the Quays at Gloucester. Facilities are quite limited but perfect for a long week end away from it all and refected in the value for money site fee. Dog walk is provided, just dont kow why it is so little used? Wi Fi is intermittant and no toilet block (hence four stars) but dont let this dissuade you from a visit. Very well kept site by very welcoming wardens.

Lovely site

Stayed over the Easter bank holiday weekend, lovely peaceful site, really well kept. Staff friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Bus stop right outside. And nice dog walk, right by a bridleway. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely friendly site,

Had a great few days at this site. Robin and his wife were most helpful in providing information on the local area. Site was clean and well kept and felt very welcoming. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others.

Well kept credit to the wardens

this site is amazing the wardens do a good job in keeping everything neat and tidy. for couples of all ages who enjoy walking and visiting the local area. There is a good dog walk on site ,and the landowner gives permission to walk round the edge of his field onto a bridle path. I f you drive into the village of Notgrove there is a wonderful cafe/bar that sells well prepared food at good value for money, We parked away from the made road and heard little traffic noise. the fact that this site has no toilet block is not a problem as we rarely use the club facilities since the current pandemic ,plus there is the benefit of it being cheaper. I thoroughly recomend this site for a nice peaceful relaxed holiday . If there was any problem its the same at every club site people don't understand the 5mph speed limit (shame on those people)

Lovely Site, shame about the Neighbour

This is a nice little site, in a lovely location. Great for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. There is a lovely walk from the site along a Bridleway to Salperton, a beautiful little village. Being just off an A road, there is Traffic noise at rush hour times. There isn't massive space between vans and if you have a longish van 7.3 m (like ours) you are restricted, as the pitches are not all long enough to accommodate longer vans. Our visit was spoilt somewhat by the owner of the property adjacent to the site. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon, to the sound of a Chainsaw, that carried on into the Sunday. The week following was ok but then on the Friday, the whole site was covered in thick smoke as the house owner started to burn all the greenery he had cut down the previous weekend. This carried on into the Saturday but fortunately we left on the Saturday morning, so didn't have to suffer it long. Mid week, the Wardens had their break and relief wardens took over. I spoke to the relief warden about the smoke and he was rather off hand about it. Saying he could do nothing about it and wouldn't even speak to the house owner, to see if anything could be done. Bit of a shame really, as all in all it was a nice stay but with the edge taken off it a bit.
