We were very pleased with our stay at Bourton-on-the-Water. The site was clean and tidy with lots of lovely flowers. The wardens were friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be returning next year.

disappointing
If you have a car and a caravan, this site is perfect. It is clean, well maintained and very peaceful. If you have a motor home and rely on public transport to get out and about, it's a disaster. The site directory says there is bus stop adjacent and the web site a bus stop within one mile. Great, but the bus to Bourton is once a day and does not come back. If you want to walk to the bus stop, there is no footpath and the road is quite busy. This is a recent change. When I booked using your contact centre by phone, the lack of toilet block was made very clear. This is also clear in the site directory. Why could we not have been informed about the lack of buses, as this information is very different to what has been published. Motor home owners beware!

Our ideal site
For us the ideal site, water, waste and chemical point. Site beautifully maintained, super wardens, even get the paper delivered. Lots to see round about. What more could you ask for.
ALWAYS WORTH A VISIT
This is a lovely little site - OK there's no toilet block but is that such a big deal once in a while? The site is set in the beautiful Cotswold countryside with easy access to many of the Cotswold gems. Alternatively just relax on site for a while - you'll not be easily disturbed!
I think it's our third visit - and we'll be back again.

Such a relaxing break
We both stayed here for a week so we could explore the Cotswold area. This campsite was very clean and well maintained. It is a peaceful site so after a day of exploring the various Cotswold villages it was an ideal place to come home to and relax. The other members on the site were very friendly and the managers were extremely helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately our dog became poorly and we did contemplate leaving early so we could take her home to see our own vet. The managers pointed us in the direction of the local vet in Bourton-on-the-water and their directions made it easy to find. The vets were extremely helpful and to our relief it was just a simple ear infection which meant we could stay and enjoy the rest of our holiday. I would highly recommend this site for exploring the area as it is ideally situated. If you take children there is no toilet block or childs play area, however I would still recommend it for a few days visit with children. It is a safe site tucked away from the road and very private. The gates are locked at night and children were present whilst we were there and enjoyed riding their bikes around the site which was nice to watch. The reception office is stocked with provisions such as bread and milk and also sell the things that we sometimes forget such as aerial leads, gas etc. We will return to this site for long weekend with our grandchildren and also longer stays as a couple. Thank you to the wardens for an excellent job in maintain the site and also for the customer service and helpfulness with the knowledge of the local area.

Interesting Site!
I write "interesting" because we booked at the last minute before the Bank Holiday weekend because they had a cancellation. Points to note: It is not near Bourton-on-the-Water (about 5 miles) in fact it is not near anywhere! This said it is a quiet peaceful site set on a disused railway line although you would not know this unless you looked at an Ordnance Survey map. As people who use ALL the facilities in our caravan it was a refreshing change to not have to watch people with £20+ caravans trudging their way to a "toilet block" to do their washing up, to going to the shower for what ever reason and returning in the same clothes! This site actually had EHU's although not in their facilities listing so we actually expected to have to operate with 12v only (shock horror)! This was not a problem to us as we use a lot of CL sites also with no facilities. Points to note: It is a long way from Bourton-on-the-Water (5 miles), Wardens very nice and helpful, Mobile signal is useless (less than one bar intermittent on Tesco O2, we made or received no calls at all), No Wi-fi, no basic TV signal although the booster in the EHU box was very good (you will need an aerial extension). Dog walk very small (but you are actually supposed to "walk" your dog!). All in all I would classify this as a Super CL - all the layout and character of a full Caravan Club site but more than 5 vans with no frills. Very nice!
Great little site
We were very happy with this site, the wardens were lovely and very helpful. There are not long direct dog walks from the site, we drove back down the hill and found some lovely walks over fields and into woods. It is a 5 minutes drive from the beautiful village of Bourton on the Water, great restaurants and so pretty. We didn't have children with us, but quite a few going around on their bikes, felt very safe for them. Overall we loved our stay.
Not for me
my first thoughts are that this site is of no use to me or my wife. it is a lovely little site but if don't want to use you car this not the place to go. no town or village in walking distance and forget about pubs none to be had anywhere. would we go again not a chance
