A glorified CL
I have absolutely nothing detrimental to say about the Wardens. They were very welcoming and helpful. The site however was poor. Although very quiet and peaceful the general facilities were very poor. It is a big site with many pitches but there were only 2 drinking water and water waste areas. I rely on my internal motorhome tank and I had to unplug everything and then drive to the water point to fill up each time. I don't have space for an aqua roll.
The pitches are of a good size but are overshadowed by the huge number of trees that blocked the few glimpses of the sun that we did have in the week and also blocked any views. It was wet and took along time to dry out due to the darkness and overshadowing.
There were none of the facilities that you generally expece on a 'Club Site'. No Toilets or showers as a minimum.
This really is just a very large CL, of which I have stayed on many with much better facilities than Borrowdale.
