We were given a very warm welcome when we arrived at Bolton Abbey Site by the relief wardens Mick & his Wife. We arrived in glorious sunshine which remained throughout our 5 day stay. The facilities were spotless, yes there was no phone signal & Wifi but we were there to escape & switch off for a few days so it didn’t bother us. The site is ideally suited for walking directly from the site, we walked in both directions whilst there but did prefer the quieter stretch of river heading towards Appletreewick where we had a delightful lunch at The Craven Arms. We already have a lot more walks planned for our next visit, we enjoyed it that much. 🥰
