OCT24:
Great welcome, as usual ☺
Immaculately kept site in all aspects, in particular pitches, surroundings and toilet / shower facilities 💦
Very effective communication, both from the Site Management - Lawrence and Yvonne, or should I say: Parker and Lady Pen 😂, as well as the signage throughout the site 👍
Overall: great atmosphere, with many regular 'punters' making it a warm and relaxing stay 🚛
Thank you once again to Yvonne and Lawrence 🤝
Cheers 🥂

Fab stay
Just had a great two night getaway at Bolton Abbey Estate Club Campsite.
Arrived in the evening and Yvonne was very welcoming and helpful on reception.
A lovely quiet site with easy access to some good walks. A wander to Bolton Priory is a must with a little stop at The Cavendish Pavilion for a coffee.
Shower and toilet facilities were of a good standard and very clean. Handy service areas on site.
Would definitely recommend.
Great area and clean site but….
First a word of warning. The archway at Bolton Abbey is only 2.8m wide. This is clear in the directions leaflet but should be more evident in the general description. Our van and caravan only just fitted through after removing the extension mirrors of fthe Van (VW Transporter).
Bolton Abbey estate is great and the site has walking access directly onto the estate. Skipton is close by and worth a visit. Abbey Tea room at Bolton Bridge very friendly with good honest food.
Welcome was not great with a verbal list of don’ts and the impression that dogs were not welcome (as it was most other club members had dogs and they were all fine).
The lower pitches back onto a primary school playground which will be noisy during week.
Facilities clean and tidy if a little small.
Contrary to site information there is a reasonable EE mobile signal (possibly new) there is no coverage from the other mobile networks though.
TV coverage is poor (aware when booking) and only accessible through coax connection to power posts.
If visiting the area the Wharfedale site at Grassington is a much better option.
Great wardens, Yvonne and Laurence are very special. Always go the extra mile to help.
How sad that Yvonne and Laurence are moving on, we will miss them and their great sense of humour.
The site is now due for some investment in order to ensure the facilities are truly up to date hence only 4 stars given against some of the tick boxes.
Now looking forward to next years visits.

Lovely Site
We spent two nights at the beginning of September and couldn’t fault the site at all. Immaculately clean and tidy with a very warm welcome from the wardens on arrival.
The walks from the site were excellent and although we only made it to Cavendish Pavillion we will return to spend a day exploring further and visiting the Priory.
The WiFi and internet connection wasn’t great but it turned out to be a bonus being disconnected from Social Media for a couple of nights!
We will definitely be returning soon.
superb in every way
Cannot praise enough the tidiness of the site, the cleanliness and the very warm welcome from Yvonne and Laurence. We had lots of small issues and questions which were remedied quickly and with helpful advise. All credit to them both and sorry they wont be continuing the good work. There will be big boots to fill in the future.
Great wardens
Had a 10 night stay on this really lovely peaceful site. The lady & gentleman wardens were fantastic & made the atmosphere very friendly. The site was spotless the whole time we stayed. They really worked hard to keep the site tidy. Great hardstanding pitches. The walking from the site is brill, straight into the woods. A sturdy pair of walking boots is helpful as some of the walking is steep. Loads of wildlife, we saw deer, a mouse, frog, squirrels, robins, pheasants, rabbits, ducks, goosanders, herons & fish. Tv signal a bit rubbish, but no biggy really as it was great to read my kindle. If you want a site to get away from it all this is the site for you. So quiet & peaceful we didn’t want to come home.

Excellent site
We visited Bolton Abbey campsite for the second time. As before it was very well maintained. Yvonne and Lawrence were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. We would be happy to return there at any time.
June 2024 Stay
This was our first stay in a Club site and will probably be our last. You are met with a barrage of signs, do this don't do that etc. all what had been specified in booking communications.
Good size level pitch with clean gravel although power supply was on the next pitch, the TV connection was even further away. There is no TV signal. I have a lead but would not reach the post (never had this problem before and my connection was on the side of the post. When mentioned this to the warden was told I could buy one for £20 (prehaps loaning or hiring might be more customer friendly). Very little mobile phone signal and the 'free wifi' was restricted making it virtualy unusable (when it was available). The amenities block was cleaned once a day and had very little ventilation/extraction so never dried and became dirty with use during the day with a lot of flys/midges round the showers. When cleaners clean the toilets they need to close the toilet door and look at the back of them, there were cobwebs there for the duration of our stay.
The amenities are 'cleaned' from 10:30 to 12:00, the last leaving time is 11:00 so when all packed ready to go you cannot use them and wash your hands before leaving-very poor planning.
It is not a quiet and peaceful site being next to a school with children that played out a lot and on the flightpath from Leeds Bradford airport. During our stop there was a dog that consistently barked (even when owner was talking to a warden) but nobody took any action over this.
We were very dissapointed with this site and consider it one of the worst we have stopped at.
Doggie heaven!
We love this site especially in hot weather! There are so many cool places to sit and rest and so many interesting smells amongst the trees, especially along The Strid where we can swim in the safe areas. The circular walk from Bardon Tower up to the Abbey is a real favourite although a tad scary in places with the steep drops so we are kept firmly on our leads. Apparently there are some nice places to eat for our pet parents too and we can eat with them, but we prefer to stay in the car in the shade. Last time they ate at The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall and thoroughly enjoyed it. They did take us for our walk over the pretty green and down to the river though. All the villages are really pretty and there are some lovely pubs too serving real ales where we can sit with them.
Thoroughly recommend it - waiting to go back soon.
