We love this site especially in hot weather! There are so many cool places to sit and rest and so many interesting smells amongst the trees, especially along The Strid where we can swim in the safe areas. The circular walk from Bardon Tower up to the Abbey is a real favourite although a tad scary in places with the steep drops so we are kept firmly on our leads. Apparently there are some nice places to eat for our pet parents too and we can eat with them, but we prefer to stay in the car in the shade. Last time they ate at The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall and thoroughly enjoyed it. They did take us for our walk over the pretty green and down to the river though. All the villages are really pretty and there are some lovely pubs too serving real ales where we can sit with them. Thoroughly recommend it - waiting to go back soon.
