Small site in the forest

This site is quite pretty being on the edge of a forest. The trees perhaps make it a little dark. There is a small dog walk which is a help. We went here in the hope we could get to the Embsay Railway at Bolton Abbey but unfortunately we got our timing wrong as no trains were running. We felt this site was ideal for the fit and active person/dog as there were miles and miles of walks. You could go to Bolton Abbey and pay £10 per car and this enabled you to go into the grounds of Bolton Abbey and walk in the lovely grounds there. Quite a long walk from the campsite though. I don't think it is a site that would be suitable for smaller children although fine for the active older ones who love walking in pretty countryside. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
