Peace & Quiet

We arrived for our long Easter break bang on time and were welcomed in a friendly manner. The site is quite small but well kept with the usual spacious level pitches we expect of the club. The facilities were clean and tidy, again as you would expect and were kept that way even when the site was full over the busy weekend. The site is quite remote in the wonderful Yorkshire Dales and as its name suggests very close to Bolton Abbey, with all its miles of trails and activities. Its also not far from Skipton and other villages like Appletreewick and Burnsall. There are also great pubs serving real ale and good food, The Craven Arms in Appletreewick is one not to miss - if you can get in! As expected the area is a walkers paradise and we found the site to be a great base. At night there is no light pollution or noise for that matter and if you are lucky enough to have a clear sky the stars are amazing. Overall another great Caravan Club Site, often difficult to get on due to its popularity, but well worth the effort once you succeed in booking a pitch.  TV is analog but if you have a cable the TV bollards work well, some pitches had line of sight for satelite.  One slight downside is the mobile phone coverage is almost non-existant but is that a bad thing.  We used the clubs wifi which was quite fast and enabled email contact with the family back home and internet browsing was good.  Will we be back - you bet.
