Lovely peaceful site

The site is lovely and peaceful & there’s a super cafe next door which is perfect for a full cooked breakfast. Walks are straight from the site into the woods which do not allow bikes. You can walk along to Bolton Priory & the Devonshire Arms but it is about 2 1/2 miles so not ideal for popping for a quick drink! You can also walk along to Barden Bridge which is about an hour round trip. The site is ideally located for Grassington, Ilkley, Skipton etc. There is no mobile phone signal so you need to rely on WiFi & the tv (you need a cable) only gives 8 channels. The wardens were a relief couple but they were really helpful. The site is very clean. If you want a sunny pitch don’t choose No 22 next to the Calor gas tank as it doesn’t get more than 5 minutes in the late morning ( we visited in mid-May). We saw so much wildlife on site- ducks, pheasants, chaffinch, squirrels & rabbits to name a few. There were geese on the river too. All in all a great site.
