We have driven past this site numerous times when I once lived only a few miles away in Otley and always dismissed it as somewhere to stay. However now living south of Cleckhuddersfax we finally made a booking and what a great find. Perfect for dog walking, lovely countryside, moors, woodland, easy access to Grassington, Skipton, Harrogate, ilkley. Lot of local history, the Priory, the old hunting lodge of nearby Barden Towers - now a fantastic restaurant and wedding venue (we got married there 5 years ago). The site itself was spotless and is very well maintained. However if you are a driver of a nervous disposition then you may wish to go to the CC site near Grassington (only a few miles away) and avoid the archway in the village. Otherwise all roads in the area are two lane width and contrary to some comments the A59 is a perfectly safe and modern 2 lane trunk road. We have already rebooked for December so we can visit the Grassington Dickensian Fayre!
