Excellent site for walkers

Have just read the latest review and can't believe we were on the same site. Spent 8 nights towards the end of September and thoroughly enjoyed the site. The walks through the estate and to Bolton Abbey are totally stunning and the bonus was I was able to use my walker so disabled friendly. As for the site, apart from no DTV or Mobile Signal (not down to the club) we can't fault the site nor the wardens. Yes there is heavy tree cover but the wardens were only too happy to let us move onto a sunnier pitch when we found our original one too cold. The ablutions are clean, warm and perfectly adequate for the size of the site. Had no problems with children and dogs on the loose. The site shop sells duck food and it's wonderful to be surrounded by the ducks every morning and evening, I felt like the Duck Whisperer!! :-) The site has a public telephone which we used and the lack of tv meant we spent more time chatting and out and about, bonus. The laundry prices are a little expensive now but that's the same across the network (cclub maybe you could revise these charges??) The free drying room is fab for those wet shoes and raincoats when you get caught out in the forest in a rainstorm. The wardens were friendly and helpful. They were very understanding when my sister had to leave early due to my father not being well (my parents were staying in her van). We will definitely stay here again especially as Skipton is minutes down the road where the best Fish & Chips can be found oh and lets not forget the best Pork Pies too. There is a narrow arch to negotiate but if you take it slow, no problem to get through. Lets face it that's not down to the Club either. Bolton Abbey is a must see and the best place to stay is the Club site.
