Easter at Bolton Abbey

We stayed, with our dogs at Bolton Abbey for 4 nights at Easter, we are relatively new to Caravanning and the onsite wardens gave us the warmest welcome so far at the few sites we have visited. The site itself is lovely with no clue to the fact that it had opened just a couple of hours before we arrived, the showers and loos were clean and warm and the hot water was plentiful. We especially loved the location of the site and once we had parked our car we didn't use it again until we hitched up to go home. The walking is fantastic and we covered 16 miles on our first day, taking in the Abbey itself, Bolton Abbey Village and then walking up to Appletreewick for some lunch. We can also highly recommend both pubs in Appletreewick for real ales, food and welcomes as warm as the one we received on site. There are many club sites that we want to visit on our travels, and this is one that we will definitely return to.
