The welcome when we arrived was superb, smiles, cracking jokes, all the formalities done in record time.
The wifi is not as good as it is on other sites, which was very disappointing.
Our stay was interspersed with rain/wind/blasting sunshine, but we had a lovely 5 day stay.
We were in a motorhome, and had a small car, so were able to go to Tesco, and catch a bus into Blackpool, and Fleetwood.
We love this site, it is busy, but so good.
We stayed at Blackpool site for one night, what a brilliant site !!! The wardens where very nice as was the site and the toilet/showers, very clean.
There is a little hut that has lots of information/leaflets about things to do nearby, takeaways, bus times etc.
We got a taxi into Blackpool which was great.
This is another site that we will be revisiting, hopefully very soon !!!!
Lovely site and up to the normal Caravan Club standards, all the time I've been coming here there has never been as issue with arriving close to or just after 8pm on a Friday night, you're always made to feel welcome after a mad dash after work, I just wish all sites were as forgiving.
This site is great if you want to go into the sights and sounds of Blackpool as an attraction. The drive into the Tower etc. couldn't be easier and there you have it all laid out in front of you. We preferred Lytham which has a nice coastline with lots of space to walk. The site at Blackpool South was lovely and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our pitch was perfect, if the sun had shone it would have been even better than perfect, but you don't stay in this country for the weather do you!!
For a first stay on a caravan club site we were very happy with our experience. Reception staff were friendly and it was easy to find a suitable pitch.
Toilets very clean and easy to get to from the whole site. Good information point, and a 10 min drive from Blackpool centre and the seaside town of Lytham.
great site and the wardens are very helpful.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this site and will return asap. could do with more service points around the site, especially near the 50's pitches. this was the opinion of several members that we spoke to.
The site was ideally situated at end of M55 for Blackpoll (ugh) and Lytham St Annes (lovely) however the pitches close to the main road very noisy. Fortunately we were sited other end close to reception which was ideal. The facilities coped considering it was a Bank Holiday weekend and site was full. A pain having to carry toilet block key due to "traveller" issues.
The site is NOT very dog friendly, the dog walk is a very small area outside the site along a dirt track busy road. The overall feeling from the wardens was anti dogs probably due to complaints from CC members.
Not our favourite site, came to Blackpool and discovered Lytham St Annes which is a gem. Probably won't revisit but no major gripes.
Site was clean, tidy and wardens most polite and helpful. A word of advice, if you want a quiet , peaceful time avoid pitches around number 19 etc, as traffic noise from the main road and roundabout was unbearable for most of the day and night and well into the early hours of the morning, which made our stay (with two young children) intolerable!
Good location for Blackpool
Kids out late playing (22.45) roads need re surfacing Generally money needs spending on tired infrastructure Toilet block clean and modern.Wardens doing a good job on a challenging site with "traveller" problems
