Good for families

Very crowded!

Stayed for a long w/end just after schools had returned and, unsurprisingly, the site was virtually full. It was our first visit to Black Knowl and we felt safe with good Covid measures in place, and the site was clean and tidy. Wardens were busy and visible and clearly worked hard to maintain the site. However, it is not a big site and when full it felt extremely crowded which, of course, meant that noise from neighboring pitches was hard to ignore (particularly if they played music inside their awnings!). There was no privacy, say from hedge planting or trees, to break up the car park feel and that was not to our liking. Without a privacy room or windbreak we felt rather 'on show' anytime we stepped outside.

Totally agree, very cramped, we ended up on pitch 23 and spent most of it looking out at the back of a huge motor home, we could have been in a car park anywhere and with only about a 3ft verge between pitches. Very disappointing site.
