We've been to Black Knowl about 7 times over the past 20 years, and still enjoy visiting this part of the country. There is plenty to do and see, depending on  how active you want to be. The redevelopment of the site over next winter of 2016/17 will be welcomed by many. So next year should be even better. Plenty of good eating places. We like the Hare & Hounds @ Sway. Good food & service at reasonable pricing. If you would prefer somewhere a bit more cheffy, for a special occasion, then the Lord Bute at Highcliffe is excellent.
