Lovely Site in the Heart of the New Forest
We've just spent half-term week here with the kids and were very impressed with the site and it's new toilet block. The welcome on arrival was great and the wardens were really friendly and helpful.
There was a slight drama one morning when the Ladies showers decided to stop working, but nothing too major.
My only slight gripe is with dogs being allowed to pee or poo on any patch of grass by their owners, when there is a massive expanse of open land right outside the gates. There were many young children playing around the site and a lot of the time on grass where kids were playing. I am sure the dog owners will say there were too many kids - but it was half-term.
The fish and chip van on a Wednesday evening was very welcome and the food was delicious.
The site is brilliantly located on the edge of the forest, with walks and bikes a plenty, right from the site gate and the village is only a 2 mile walk down the "yellow brick road", where there is a good selection of eateries. Can recommend the Huntsman and the Dynasty Curry House.
