Best Club site we have visited

We visited this site last year prior to the renovation work being carried out and fell in love. The location is idyllic you can walk or cycle, in our case for miles without ever going near a road. There is nature all around you we saw Fallow deer within 1/2 mile of the site and you fall asleep every night listening to owls. It's makes for an amazing family holiday. The New facilities are exceptional lots of showers always one free clean and well designed. As a family the new family bathroom made the holiday even easier. A totally separate bathroom with a shower and a half sized bath was perfect and again we never had to wait as there are 3. There are only a few things I'd mention at the moment which may be just bedding in problems after the upgrade. The first the water in the dishwashing and laundry area was never hot only ever warm. Not so good for washing up. The second was the gravel on the hardstanding pitches. We were told the site had been rollered before it opened. We levelled our caravan on arrival. After the first week we had the level the van up again not so easy when you have a full size awning. On leaving the site after 2 weeks the jockey wheel had sank at least an inch into the gravel again. We heard several other people saying the same thing about their pitches. I know this is just a settling in problem but it's certainly something to bare in mind when you pitching for the time being anyway. I have to say on a personal note having visited before the upgrade and after its a shame they put so many new pitches in. I understand why but I loved the open space feel the site had before. Overall as other reviews say on here already the new facilities make what was a great site already even better. We will definitely visit again and again.
