This was the first time we had visited the New Forest, and will definately return. The site is first class, spotlessly clean and beautifully laid out. Wardens were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there had been a terrible storm the night before we arrived so the fields were waterlogged. The walk across the fields into Brockenhurst is fine when dry but was so muddy, parts of the path were impassable. We walked back along the road which was a lot longer , and certainly wouldnt do it in the dark. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Pubs in the village are dog friendly, we only went to the Huntsman but food was good. Main downside was the approach road, not good. Cannot believe the Caravan Club cant get together with the Forestry to repair the enormous potholes, surely it would not cost a huge ammount. Hope it is sorted soon.
