Such a unique site

So nice to walk out the gate and be in the New Forest, great for exploring, walking, cycling The wardens work so hard to keep improving the site, lovely flowers as you drive in, regularly cut grass and weed free pitches it’s so nice and tidy, can’t wait to go back. Thank you

The best site on the network,

In the heart of the New Forest it’s such a lovely location, but what makes the site so special is the wardens, so welcoming, so friendly always visible working extremely hard to maintain a fantastic site clean and tidy

Another wonderful stay at Black Knowl

Another brilliant few days at Black Knowl, cycling, walking and generally enjoying the New Forest and all it has to offer. The site facilities are superb and the staff extremely helpful.

First Time Visit to Black Knowl.

The long and winding drive through the New Forest to the site wasn’t great due the poor condition of the single track road. There were huge potholes in places which proved challenging at times given its single track in places. On arrival the wardens were very welcoming and polite explaining all the site details as is usual of the Caravan Club staff. Our hardstanding pitch needed levelling ramps but otherwise was ok. The site is laid out on different levels and is not too uniform with outfits in regimented lines which is nice. The facilities block was in good condition both modern and very clean. There is a small shop in reception for essentials. My only criticism of our stay was the grass was long and overdue a cut but as the weather prior to our arrival had been unseasonably wet this was understandable. All in all a pleasant stay and we would return.

Our little bit of heaven!

We have just returned from our second holiday at this wonderful site, situated in the depths of the New Forest on the outskirts of Brockenhurst. The shower block is clean and beautifully maintained and there is a very friendly atmosphere throughout the site, particularly including the staff. The pitches are a good size and spaced well apart. We have already booked for next year as we love it so much. It is definitely one of our favourite sites.

Brilliant start to Club Membership

This was a preliminary trip to check that we were prepared for the Northern 500 and was a wonderful introduction. Heard my first Cuckoo in years! Helpful and supportive staff. I did think that with 191 pitches it would be like 'Tin-Town' at Prestatyn - how wrong I was, Sites are well spaced out, clean and the area is outstanding.

Perfect in every way!!

We have visited Black Knowl numerous times and every visit is ever more delightful. The location is fantastic for couples or families alike. The facilities are faultless as is the provision of food vendors most nights. The site wardens are professional, friendly and above all, have a sense of humour. I believe this is the “Best” CAMC site.

Our second visit to this lovely site

We stayed at this site last year and enjoyed it so much we booked a return visit. We had a friendly welcome by the site managers and pitched on a lovely sunny pitch. The facilities block is excellent and very clean, lots of leaflets in the Information room and plenty of takeaway vans on site if you don't fancy cooking (we can recommend the pizzas!). We were also delighted to see the site was participating in 'No Mow May' with just the grass pitches and a small area around the hardstanding being mowed - the wildflowers and wildlife we saw was an added bonus to our stay at this site. We will return again soon.

Probably our favorite CAMC site

We stayed here w/e 20th May 2023. This is probably our favorite CAMC site. There's no point in saying how good it is, just read the other reviews. We did notice a few things which could be improved, but certainly did not spoil our time there:- 1. The cattle grid at the site entrance needs attention as it makes a loud bang every time a vehicle goes over it. 2. The light in the bollard immediately at the back of pitch 82 didn't work. We saw the warden examining it but it didn't work during the 3 nights we were there. 3. The road which contains pitch 82 needs some kind of "no through road" sign at it's entrance, as we saw a number of units drive down it, and having a big job at turning round. It would seem they were intending to go down the road immediately to the rear which isn't a dead end road. 4. On the Friday evening, a burger trailer attended the site, but the board advertising this was only put out during the day, (or possibly only when it arrived) so anyone leaving site in the morning would not be aware of the facility and perhaps make other arrangements. When we arrived on the Thursday, there were boards advertising Mondays and Wednesdays, I think, but definitely nothing for Fridays.

Great site, great site managers.

We stayed at the Black Knowl Club site at the over the coronation weekend. The weather was changeable but this didn’t dampen our spirits to cycle the new forest. The site is in a great location, just 10 minutes by bike to Brockenhurst centre. The site itself was immaculate. The facilities were recently rebuilt and were top notch. The pitches were good size and well spaced apart. The absolute best part though, are the site managers. As well as a very friendly welcome, Peter and his wife got me out of a big hole when I lost the keys to the campervan 2 days into our stay. I was not able to either access or get home in my vehicle. Without going into all of the detail, they both truly went above and beyond and really did save the day for my party of 3. What excellent hosts and all round good eggs. If CAMC are looking for the model site managers, then that need look no further. We hope to be back soon.
