Well Worth A Visit.
We’ve been wanting to try the Baltic Wharf site for some time. On the old booking system it seemed to be one of those popular ones that were always fully booked, then came the notices of closure due to redevelopment of the area by the local authority. However, the club notified me by email that the lease on the site had again been extended until December 2023 and so I attempted to book as an extension to our stay at the Four Oaks site at Henley on Thames. Bingo! We were in. We took the M4 from Henley to Bristol, and other than a slightly complicated final mile or so through Bristol City centre with its roadworks, we landed safe and sound.
I can confirm it is a site well worth visiting. A gate out of site onto the riverside walk either into the city, or next door to the pub. Fantastic history surrounds you and all is very well documented on boards. Plenty of easy access to pubs, restaurants, cafés or whatever you want. Our stay in February was blessed with beautiful sunny weather and clear blue skies too. No issues at all with the services and friendly helpful staff.
Our camper van is 6.4 metres long, and I would say this is around a maximum for easy access through the roadworks, with some pitches also restricted to this as a maximum length. But all in all, very highly recommended.
