This has been our go to site since 1994, there is so much to do in and around Bristol, it is a lively city, don't expect tranquility, it is the location that is special, every time you open the back gate onto the wharf there is a sense of delight and stress release, after our 55th visit we feel like locals. Sadly the site will close this year but the site managers keep it spotless, they are very friendly and are quick to sort any possible issues. If you like cider then would highly recommend The Orchard, they have an amazing list of local cider and also some cask ales, they have music jam sessions some evenings too, it is a short walk tucked behind the marina before reaching HMS GB which is another great place to visit. There is easy access to the city on foot or by water ferry. We would offer this advice, it is not always easy to judge timings but do not arrive before 1.00 pm, the site entrance is not big and vehicles can end up queuing out onto the road outside which is not ideal.
