Great site for a couple of nights
This is the second time we have stayed at the site, this time benefiting from the one free night voucher offer. The site is in a great location for visiting Bristol even if it can be tricky to navigate to the site initially. I checked the route with Google Maps and Streetview which I found worked well.
Cycling: We took our bikes and cycled out to Pill along the track running along side the south side of the river, easy to find and traffic free. It was a little muddy so I'd recommend a gravel bike or hybrid bike rather than a road bike.
The cycle route from Bristol to Bath is great and traffic free, easiest to find your way to Temple Meads Station and then pick up the signs for the Bath cycle route from there. We returned from Bath via the A431 past the Cadence Bike Shop and Chelsea Road cafes. The A431 wasn't busy and provided good views over the valley, we rejoined the cycle route at Bitton.
Eating Out: I'd highly recommend Noah's Fish Restaurant within 20 minutes of the site, excellent and well worth a visit, check out the Early Bird Menu. There are several good restaurants in Bedminster close by, Yafos is a great vegetarian restaurant with a middle eastern dishes. Souk Kitchen is another great restaurant again with excellent middle eastern meals.
Enjoy!
