Use while lasts
Taken together with childhood visits with caravanning parents I've been coming to this site for over 30 years. One of the funny things about caravanning is people watching and several of the miserly (if creative) reviews on here about moats and toilets show why. The site is great for what it is - a city centre location that's easy to tow into and which benefits from The Cottage and Orchard pubs and which also has stunning views across the water to Clifton, including the illuminated suspension bridge at night.
It's not a site for those who want to see beautifully manicured lawns or flowers but it is a well run and functional site. They do have a thing about leaving at 11, and the front gate needs to be unlocked if you arrive back after about 2000hrs. This means stopping on one of the lanes of the road so use your hazards..
Frankly if you're venturing into Bristol and able bodied then leave the car alone, get the ferry across the water, or down into the centre. Or just walk past the amazing collection of museums, cafes and restaurants.
After all, it's a caravan site. Not, say, Trump Towers!
