Are my standards for 'peace and quiet' and 'good for families' lower than for other people? - possibly. I certainly did not find noise an issue on the site or nearby but then I do live in a city centre. And there are so many interesting things for families to do, as well as adults.  If you were going to design a new site, surely it would look something like Baltic Wharf! Not perfect for a primary school but brilliant for a campsite. Right in the middle of so many other leisure activities and businesses. Local residents and businesses are on the side of a the site remaining here. And Bristol's ferries must benefit from the passengers. Negotiating may be hard but surely worthwhile for this site which is nearly always fully booked whenever you want to stay. That says so much for campers' point of view.
