Mixed thoughts

Just returned from spending 5 days at baltic wharf.  We thought we must go there as its always booked up, we were lucky to get 5 days after Easter.  We arrived at 12, a lot of roadworks along the site road.  We took note of the busy main road and pitched up along the boating centre side by the cottage pub. We found this to be a wrong choice as at nights the bottles from the pub were thrown into the wheelie bins and the smell of cooking all day was awful. The site is small and very little grass anywhere to be found, so if you have a doggie like we did, you found yourself walking a long way.  We went through the site gate and your on the harbour with a walk to the museums and SS Great Britain which was beautiful now restored.  I must say Bristol is a lively city, the harbour side at nights is very busy but surprised us to see so many people begging and sleeping rough. We Live near a city and don't have that.  We also  noticed so much graffiti everywhere.  If you would like a nice place to eat Zaa Zaa bazaar is all you can eat,  different cuisine, and you have to book.   Well we are glad we came to see Baltic wharf but sorry probably won't return as we now prefer more greenery.  I must add the man in the little shop outside the main gate should learn some manners, he was rude and didn't deserve my custom.
