Great place to stay
We have been trying to book this site over the school holidays for over two years and finally managed to this year and we weren't disappointed with the venue.
The facilities are somewhat tired and dated (probably not updated due to the threat of the council taking back the land and closing it down), but are always kept in a very clean state. There are plenty of water points dotted around such a small site (based on our experience to date) and are less than a minutes walk from your pitch; again these are kept spotless.
The site's main attribute is its excellent location and access to many of the places to visit in and around Bristol. The river is on the other side of the hedge and makes for some excellent walking and there seems to be so much going on and around it. We were presented with rowing and sailing events on most of the days we were at the site and the pub just to the left of the river access gate serves good food and beer, perfect combination. I could go on and on about what you can do during your stay, but leave it up to you to explore; needless to say, the world is your oyster should you chose to visit.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, polite and always engaged with you.
Hopefully our next visit will not take us three years to achieve because this is certainly a site we would love to come back and visit.
